Court dismisses Walusimbi’s case over claims of FUFA Trusteeship

Her Lordship Basaza Wasswa on Thursday afternoon dismissed a case of Dan Walusimbi and Group who had purportedly claimed to be the registered Trustees of Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA).

His group was also challenging the cancellation of a certificate of Trustees issued by Ministry of Lands.

Court at Tweed Plaza ruled that since the certificate had been cancelled, the Trusteeship ceased to be existent under the Ugandan laws.

The case was dismissed with costs.

The ruling means that the Trusteeship of Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) headed by Eng. Moses Magogo remains the only recognized National Association mandated to run and manage football in the country.

The authentic certificate handed over to FUFA by National Council of Sports early this year recognsing the Mengo based institution as the only National Association mandated to manage football in the country.
