Museveni Military attires in Parliament, wanted to intimidate MPs – Activists

Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni

Several activists have attacked the head of State President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for intimidating the public.

These states were made in response to president’s action of putting on a military attire on Thursday afternoon when the National budget for 2017/18 was being read in the parliament of Uganda.

According to the FDC Secretary General Harold Kaija described this act as dictatorial since he does this act in an intention of scaring legislators and other people from holding him accountable for the wrongs done.

During this session, Museveni also attacked the opposition for being jealous about his long stay in power.

This is not the first time President Museveni has put on a military attire while executing state duties and hosting guests. Recently, when the King of Buganda Kingdom Kabaka Ronald Mutebi visted him in State House, Museveni made the same move of the military outfit.
