Ssemujju wants Kadaga to pay for the spoiled parliament property

Opposition MPs dressed in Red bandana’s during the session

The Kiira Municipality Member of Parliament Hon. Ssemujju Ibrahim Nganda wants the speaker of parliament Rt.Hon. Rebecca Kadaga to be the one to foot the expenses of the spoilt parliament property that got damaged during the chaotic age limit session.

Ssemujju and other opposition leaders insist that Kadaga unlawfully allowed intruders in parliament and failed to understand both sides and ended up sidelining with the ruling party yet thus causing the chaos.

‘Kadaga is the one who spoilt our microphones because she is the one who let the forces into parliament. She is the one who spoilt the equipment and therefore the person supposed to pay for the equipment.’ Ssemuju said.

The equipment includes speakers, microphones and chairs got messed up as Members of parliament turned unruly during plenary on Tuesday, September 27th 2017 after the opposition members were suspended from the house. The suspended members decided to defy the speaker’s orders and were henceforth thrown out of parliament by SFC forces something that sparked the clashes as the lawmakers rejected the ‘unlawful act’.

After the suspension from three parliamentary sittings, the MPS Returned yesterday and were told that they are required to face disciplinary committee and replace the equipment they spoilt during plenary before they left for their suspension.
