Gen. Muntu calls off campaigns over opponent’s unlawful detention

The forum for Democratic Change party president Gen. Mugisha Muntu has called off his country wide party campaign over the continued detention of the party members.

According to the Gen. Muntu’s campaign taskforce populist Rajab Semakula Kaaya said this move has been done in solidarity of the party members.

“We have called off our campaigns to join efforts towards securing our comrades who are in Police cells illegally. According to the FDC Party Presidential Elections Program, Gen. Muntu is supposed to be in Elgon Sub Region today but we called off our campaigns. We believe in fairness and justice.” Rajab said.
