Frank Gashumba case hearing pushed till next year

Buganda road court has adjourned to January 16th 2018 the fraud case against Social commentator Frank Gashumba and two others, due to an extra ordinary meeting all judicial officers in Uganda are attending at the High court in Kampala.

The resolution made by Senior Principal Magistrate Charles Yeteise as he was adjourning the case on behalf of the trial Chief Magistrate James Eremye Mawanda.

Gashumba and his brother Innocent Kasumba facing charges of impersonation, forgery and being in possession of narcotics were jointly charged with a Tour and travel guide officer from MJ Safaris Company Ismail Kiyingi.

The 2 brothers are said to have conspired with Kiyinji to falsely represent themselves as officials from the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs in order to obtain money from 2 Dutch nationals under the guise of offering them contracts to supply trucks, troop carriers, water tanks, and heavy machines among other items to Ministry of Defence.
