Meet Hon. Nabakooba, Kezekiah, the first MPs to fool Parliament

Deputy Speaker Jacob Oulanya with Hon. Judith Nabakooba

As scholars usually say that “One of the best ways to achieve justice is to expose injustice.”, Mityana Member of Parliament Hon. Judith Nabakooba and her vice are on the hot seat over taking the August House for Granted.

The Chair one of the most sensitive committee (The defense and internal affairs committee) but was beyond a shock when the duo tactfully fooled lawmakers with information that was never existed.

The committee Vice Chairperson Hon. Kezekiah Mbogo told Parliament that her committee’s report on the Kasese killings was ready. However, when the time came for it to be presented, it was nowhere to be seen.

The Speaker of Parliament has however summoned the Chairperson of the committee of Defence Judith Nabakoooba and her Deputy Kezekiah Mbogo for apparently lying to the house that the Kasese report is ready yet there wasn’t even a report draft.

This prompted some of the MP’s to request that perhaps the MP’s should be taken to the disciplinary committee.

Some MPs also claimed they doubted the Defense and internal affairs committee’s claims that the report on Kasese killings was ready.

It should be noted that at least 116 people were killed and scores injured on 27th November 2016 after a combined force of UPDF soldiers and the police raided the Rwenzururu King’s palace near Kasese town to flush out what they said were lawless elements hell-bent on overthrowing the government.
