Police intercepts woman carrying 17 bombs

Police at Bibia checkpoint in Elegu, Uganda – south Sudan boarder has intercepted a 42-year-old woman identified as Akech Flavia.

The Key suspect has allegedly been working in South Sudan but a resident of Makerere in Kampala, was found carrying an assortment of explosives.

“13 Sub-Machine gun magazines totalling 390 rounds of ammunition, 17 grenades, 16 grenade fuses, 596 rounds of loose ammunition,145 PK ammunition in a chain,348 PK loose ammunition, and 2 pistols among other weapons.”

According to police, the weapons were found in a motor vehicle registration number UAP 771 K which was being driven by a one Otema Vincent who was also arrested with Akech.
