The Kyadondo East member of parliament, Hon. Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu has condemned the Masaka Leaders for ignoring prisoners.

While carrying out his occasional visits around Uganda Prisons and Police cells together with other colleagues on the Parliamentary Human Rights Committee, they visited prisons in Masaka.
“A number of complaints were raised by the inmates among which they fronted delayed and sometimes no justice, corruption among judicial officers & Police CID department and increased torture especially after escapism cases as their main complaints,”
However, Kyagulanyi also noted that despite the problems faced by the prisoners, their hygiene is prioritized unlike other prison that he has visited.
Kyagulanyi has called upon all the leaders in Masaka to immediately repond to the outcry of the prisoners.
“Their outcry is that their leaders ensure close & genuine follow up on their cases to ensure prevalence of justice.
JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED,” noted Hon. Kyagulanyi.
