Gen. Kale Kayihura
Uganda police spokesperson Emilian Kayima has refused to give a take on the news circulating indicating the former IGP Gen. Kale Kayihura has been arrested.
Speaking to our reporter, Kayima said he is not aware about any news related to Kayihura’s arrest.
Kayima said he has no capacity to speak about issues he has not yet confirmed.
It should be noted that the news of the arrest of the Former inspector general of Police General Kale Kayihura in Lyantonde by the special Force Command took a hype last evening.
Kayihura who was allegedly detained at Senior Officers’ Mess in Kololo is said to be at his comfort zone taking some coffee.
According to our credible source, the news of his arrest is a hoax aimed basically to divert the public from the ongoing security situation in country.
However it is said that Unknown people wearing security uniform conducted a search operation at Courtyard International Hotel in Lyantonde District where Kayihura always hanged out though they didn’t reveal the reason for the search.
