Former Ethics Minister Nsaba Buturo has condemned the banning of street preaching by Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) saying the move is an attack on Christianity in the country.
Addressing journalists, Nsaba Buturo highlighted that KCCA the move to ban street preachers was not approved by Parliament and KCCA didn’t have the mandate to outlaw it.
“We do not see where they are deriving their mandate. Jesus Christ was a street preacher so now who are these little fellows? If Jesus was around today, those fellows would stop him,” he said
Nsaba Buturo called for drafting of the methodology of street preaching but not stopping the message that is being preached
