Police has assured the public in greater Masaka region of total security following recent weeks of local terrorism, where Machette welding gangs attacked residents and made away with property.
According to Latiff Zaake the Regional Police Commander of the Greater Masaka Region says Machete gang attackers have been subdued and Masaka is at peace again.
This comes as police leadership from central Uganda met with leaders of crime preventers from greater Masaka.
Ministers in attendance reiterated the importance of involving the local leaders in the program if crime prevention is to succeed under this arrangement
