A state adviser for Southern Liech, one of South Sudan’s newly created states, was killed in an ambush on two commercial vehicles along the Leer-Benitu road on Thursday, a local official said.
Information Minister Peter Makuoth Malual told Radio Tamazuj that Michael Wech was killed together with two women in a road attack along the Leer-Bentiu road.
The official pointed out said three other passengers were kidnapped, while the rest fled to the bush. He accused SPLA-IO rebels of involvement in the incident.
