The final line-up for the upcoming oldies show dubbed Tugende Mu Kikadde has been released and includes names like renowned comedians, Andrew Kyamagero and Patricko Mujjuka as the official hosts of the event.
The organizers, Sprout Events in partnership with Uganda Waragi also revealed that there will be performances by musicians, Frank Mbalire and Sammy Kasule.
Frank Mbalire, formerly of Afrigo Band, is a Ugandan musician and guitarist; while Sammy Kasule is also well known in the music circles having started the Makonde Band when he was in Sweden.
Another interesting addition is a deejay session by DJ Alberto.
Tugende mu Kikadde which means ‘back to our roots’ is a classic Ugandan music showcase that will feature performances by Ugandan music icons; Afrigo Band, Mariam Ndagire, Halima Namakula, Kabuye Sembogga, among others.
The event carries a vintage theme and will feature a red carpet on arrivals. Urban TV’s Kabs Haloha is the official red carpet host and scenes from the red carpet arrivals will be relayed live at the event that is scheduled to take place this weekend at Kampala Serena Hotel.
Tickets to the show are selling at Ugx 100, 000 and VVIP tables are going for Ugx 5 million and are available at all Payway outlets and at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
The show will also feature a cocktail party before the main event hosted by Uganda Waragi. Lots of free cocktails will be on offer.
