The Kampala Capital City Authority boss Jenipher Musisi has urged the property owners in Kampala to comply with the new law of paying the rent tax that was attached to their buildings by the authority.
This followed the property owners vowing to close down their building on grounds that KCCA has increased the property taxi three times in the property evaluation exercise that was conducted by the evaluation court last month.
Now According to Musisi, the property owners should instead comply and pay the imposed taxi arguing that the authority has imposed only 6% from the money they receive from their buildings, a low rate charged compared to other Municipalities.
She however notes that those who were not satisfied with the valuation are already in city hall evaluation court and their complaints are being heard by the Kampala valuation court.
