Famous musician and self-proclaimed Ghetto Gladiator Robert Kyagulanyi Ssenta aka Bobi Wine has vowed to overwhelmingly win the Kyadondo East by-elected slated to take to take place at the end of June.
Bobi Wine who was nominated to run the Member of Parliament Position on Wednesday clearly clarified that that this election is not about Political parties and colours but it’s about the power of the people.

Speaking to the Insider.Ug, Omubanda Wa Kabaka added that for a long time, people of Kyadondo East have been facing the same challenges over and over something that has to come to an end.
During his nomination at Saza Grounds in Kyadondo Wakiso district, Bobi wine pulled a titanic crowd that was coming closer to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s official rally in Kololo airstrip.

Bobi wine will be battling with other five candidates including Apollo Kantinti, a member of the opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), is also back in the race to reclaim his seat. Others are Independent candidate Nkuyingi Muwada, William Sitenda Ssebalu of the National Resistance Movement, Kayongo Sowedi Male, Democratic Party’s Lilian Babirye and Kasasa Edward who is also an independent candidate.
The seat fell vacant after the Court of Appeal upheld the decision of the High Court decision nullifying the election of Apollo Kantinti. Court ruled that there was non-compliance with election rules during the February 18, 2016 elections, including disfranchising the voters and also failing to secure custody of election materials.
