At least 14 people were killed and 10 others injured in attacks carried out by unknown gunmen on vehicles along the Juba-Nimule highway on Thursday morning, police authorities said.
Police spokesman Daniel Justin Boula told Radio Tamazuj that the incident occurred near Moli village, adding that three buses were burned to ashes by the gunmen.
Military sources confirmed that three government soldiers who were escorting the buses were also killed and two others sustained injuries.
The attack comes after an artist was killed and three passengers injured in a similar ambush along the Juba-Nimule road on Monday.
