Basing on the travel arrangements and documents the Inspector General of Police, Gen Kale Kayihura used while going to Turkey, today Wednesday he is expected to return to Uganda after nine days of nonappearance.
His return follows increased speculative concerns about his health where some reports say that Kayihura is sick and that he had been taken abroad for specialized medical attention.
However the Police spokesperson AIGP Asan Kasingye recently dismissed the claim describing it’s as “fake news”, adding his boss was in Turkey on official business.
“IGP is in Turkey on official duty. He has signed an MOU that we shall soon brief you about,” said Kasingye during one of the press conference.
Kayihura missed out on three critical national events; State of the Nation Address, Budget reading and Heroes Day celebrations in Luwero something that increased the hype into rumors and has now made citizines yarn to know whether IGP will return home today.
