Uganda Cranes tactician Milutin Sredojevic is confident that his team will triumph over South Sudan on Saturday in the retrun leg first round qualifier of the Total African Nations Championships (CHAN) Kenya at the Philip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
Uganda was held to a scoreless draw during the first leg last Friday at the Juba Stadium, Juba.
According to Micho Uganda was unlucky retrun home without a win.
‘We failed to convert a penalty, a goal was canceled and the team missed a host of chances but we have an advantage because we never conceded’ said Micho
The Serbian tactician is happy that the boys are reacting very during training and he has set them ready to give the best results on.
‘Many players save for those who play with KCCA FC and Proline FC, the rest are used to the artificial turf but I am happy that they are adapting to it and have learnt how the ball moves and bounces at the turf’ added teh historic Micho who led Uganda Cranes to their first appearance at AFCON after 39 years of waiting.
He concluded by calling upon Ugandans to come and cheer the Uganda Cranes on Saturday to give the boys morale to eliminate South Sudan as it will open chances of qualifying for CHAN Kenya 2018.
If Uganda eliminates South Sudan, there is potential thriller as either Tanzania or Rwanda will have to make teh trip to Kampala for a place to the finals to be hosted by Kenya.
