The police bus carrying FDC people from Nalufenya narrowly caught fire In Mabira as they were heading being transported for a court session.
All people the people who were on board have survived and police has been forced walk with them as they wait for an alternative.
However the cause of the tragic incident is not yet known.
Among the people in the bus was FDC Party Presidential Candidate, Hon. Eng. Patrick Amuriat Oboi who was arrested as he was consulting FDC members and leaders in Kyadondo East, Wakiso District.
He was arrested together with Kisangala Owen, Margret Wokuri councillor Aisha Namagembe of Gayaza parish, Councillor Edward Walusimbi of Katadde parish, Councillor Sula Kisaka of Massooli, Mr. Mayanja Robert and about 100 others.
They were first detained at Kasangati Police station before they were transferred to Nalufenya. Members who were waiting for him in other parishes were also arrested before his arrival.
