Kahinda Otafiire (L) Miria Matembe
The former Ethics and integrity minister Hon. Dr. Miria Matembe has hailed the local Government leaders who humiliated and baptized the Justice and constitutional affairs Minister Gen. Kahinda Otaffire at Namboole stadium in Wakiso district last weekend.
Dr. Matembe made this statement while appearing on NBS Television’s weekly talk show the ‘Frontline’. She said that Kahinda better deserved ‘Kiboko’ since his government is good at beating opposition leaders as if they have no blood.
“They should have given him some ‘kiboko’ like they beat others. If they taste the beating, they may also one day be on our side.” Matembe said.
During the weekend, the Association which brings together all the district and lower local governments in Uganda held a consultative meeting at the Mandela National Stadium Namboole, with Gen. President Museveni invited as chief guest.
However, some of the members became agitated when saw the ‘Mavi ya Kuku’ General because they were expecting the president as chief guest. They then forced him off the stage and poured water on him he headed out of the stadium .
