Charles Ssebambulidde
Two children have been crashed dead by a trailer in Seeta town, Mukono district.
The Traffic police Spokesperson Charles Ssebambulidde said that the driver of trailer registration numbers UAZ 761Y parked at the road side and got out without turning off the engine.
“The vehicle begun moving and the driver made a desperate attempt to jump back in and stop it but he failed. The Trailer then continued in motion and hit a stationary Canter Truck and pushed it all the way to the gate of a kindergarten where the two children were standing, crashing them both.” Said eyewitnesses.
The deceased have been identified as Joseph Ilakut aged 5 and Jean Kansimire aged 3, both pupils of Waterloo International Kindergarten and Day Care in Seeta.
However Police has confirmed the arrest of the trailer driver to help with investigations.
