Emirates, voted the world’s best airline in TripAdvisor’s 2017 Travellers’ Choice Awards, has appointed Mr. Puneet Kohli as the new Country Manager for Uganda.
Mr Kohli, who was previously the airline’s sales manager in Qatar, took up his appointment earlier this month in Kampala. He will be responsible for Emirates’ overall business in Uganda, overseeing sales and service functions for the airline’s commercial, customer and cargo operations in the market. He reports directly to Orhan Abbas, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, and Commercial Operations Africa.
He has been with Emirates for almost 17 years, during which time he worked in various sales roles in Doha before becoming sales manager for Qatar in 2006.
“I’m very excited to be leading Emirates’ operations in Uganda and look forward to working with our local team of dedicated and talented staff, as well as our trade partners, to ensure Emirates’ continued growth and success in the market,” he said.
Commenting on Mr Kohli’s appointment, Mr Abbas said, “As a graduate of our Executive Leadership Development Programme and part of our core sales team, Puneet’s diverse experience will bring different perspectives and opportunities to our market in Uganda. We wish him every success in his new role.”
Customers travelling on Emirates can look forward to world class service and hospitality from the airline’s multi-national cabin crew, while enjoying complimentary gourmet meals and beverages.
Emirates also offers over 2500 channels of on demand audio and visual entertainment on its ice system, from the latest movies, music and games, including 90 dedicated channels for children.
