Earlier today the Supreme Court of Kenya overturned and annulled an election in which President Uhuru Kenyatta was declared winner and ordered for new election in 60 days.
This follows the petition filed by NASA’s candidate Raila Odiga.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) declared President Kenyatta the winner after garnering 54 per cent of the votes cast on August 8.
A six-judge bench, by majority decision, on Friday found that the electoral commission failed to conduct the polls according to the Constitution and Elections Act.
