Party President of the leading opposition party the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Gen. Mugisha Muntu narrowly broke down into tears following the mighty Heroic welcome granted in the Rwenzori region.
Muntu who was in the area for a campaign of seeking for second term in office, was welcomed with heroic songs and dances.
The former Uganda people’s Defense forces (UPDF) Commander meet the delegation led by the leader of opposition in the Parliament of Uganda Hon. Winnie Kiiza, the area legislator Hon. Robert Centenary among other local leaders.
Speaking to the delegation, Muntu called for another term to be able to accomplish the unfished work of uniting the party from the grass root levels to the top.
Muntu also promised to build a party that will not only get many subscribers but also take over power from the National Resistance Movement (NRM) in the next election.
He later held a mega rally the newly formed Bunyangabo district where he campaigned for the Party flag bearers in the fourth coming elections.
Gen. Muntu and other candidates were nominated to vie for Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidency an exercise scheduled to take 90 days.
The five candidates include, former Kumi MP Patrick Oboi Amuriat, Kawempe South MP Mubarak Munyagwa, Moses Byamugisha and Dan Malcom Matsiko who are all in different parts of the country hunting for votes.
