Former Uganda Electoral Commission boss Eng. Badru Kiggundu is in tremor over Kenya’s decision reelection just like very many people.
Speaking to NBS television, Kiggundu insists that an election is not just a walk over like the public believes, there is more to an election than the mere additional figures that the public sees.
Kiggundu adds that it is hard to set up a new commission within 60 days and therefore urges Kenyans to work and cooperate with the existing commission so as to get genuine results.
‘’ if they want to make a new commission within 60 days, I wish them well! They need Godly commissioners. Maybe they will come from space’’ kiggundu says.
However, kiggundu further condemns IEBC for not seeking information from experts since it was their first election. He urges them to look out for new IT systems that they did not make use of for auditing in the previous elections.
Nonetheless, Eng. Badru Kigundu brags about his firmness since he has been taken to the Supreme Court for the same issue and is proud that it did not come out the Kenyan way.
It should be well-known that Kenya is the first African country to nullify an election. He is wondering why opposition leaders do not trust electoral commission like it was here in Uganda.

I don’t know what Kiggundu is bragging about. The court found in previous petitions that there were irregularities in the elections in favour of NRM. Their get out of jail free card was to say that it did not significantly/materially affect the outcome of the elections. So if I was Kiggundu I would go quietly. Right thinking people know Kiggundu was nothing but a puppet with no principles or morals. History will judge him harshly however much he tries to re-write it and he will leave this life know it as well.
