Kanya president and Jubilee party flag bearer has started feeling the heat of the by-election following the numerous strengthening of the opposition National Super Alliance (NASA).
Early this morning, Party of National Unity (PNU) chair and former Meru Governor Peter Munya says his party will support Raila Odinga in forthcoming presidential repeat elections.
At the same time Peter Munya has revealed that he will file petition challenging Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi’s win.
In his address he noted that Supreme Court ruling proved that IEBC conducted a fraudulent election.
This By election in Kanya comes a few days after the Supreme Court cited irregularities in the vote and ordered a new one within 60 days.
The 8 August poll raised fears of major violence similar to that following a disputed vote in 2007.
however the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya H.E. William Ruto called on the electoral commission to set a date for fresh presidential elections, saying the governing Jubilee Party is ready.
