Dr Ben Mayindo the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) executive Director has today opened the international standards Organisation regional training managing national Standards Development projects and Programs.
Speaking during the event launch, Ben highlighted that Uganda is doing well but has concentrated on products standards but not service standards
He also added that the drive is intended to regulate bad habbits exibitted by employees and other clients like taking bribes and also promote giving quality services in tourism citing that the more we harmonize our standards in the region, the better the trade links
ISO will be training people from 21 countries and they have chosen to do it here in Uganda. Nesreen Al-Khammash kicked off the training
