Court of Appeal has nullified the election of DP’s Wakayima Musoke as Nansana Municipality Member of Parliament.
He has been replaced with NRM’s Robert Kasule Ssebunya on grounds that the name Wakayima Musoke Nsereko which was used by the politician for his nomination as a candidate was nowhere on the voters’ register.
Court has however revealed that there will be no by-election since the person on the voters register and that in electoral commission are two different people.
Mr Musoke was elected on the Democratic Party ticket in the February 18 general elections.
Mr Robert Kasule Sebunya (NRM) sued Mr Musoke and the Electoral Commission and asked court to declare him the winner saying his opponent’s election did not comply with electoral laws.
