Museveni lost focus, has evil money – MP Tinkasimire

Hon. Barnabas Tinkasiimire has also thrown his weight behind the team of legislator rejecting the move by the National Resistance Movement (NRM) cause of having article 102 b scrapped from the Ugandan constitution.

Speaking in a press conference organised by the former ‘NRM rebel MPs’ recently, Tinkasiimire said he admits the fact that president Museveni is good leader  but stressed the fact that his time is up therefore should open room for another person the run the state.

He added that the ruling party needs to internally discuss who should replace Museveni. ‘Yes, you are a good dancer but your time is over’.

“They are saying they want young people to contest for presidency. Who are they trying to hoodwink when they set nomination fees to UGX50m. The cost of campaign has highly been commercialized by President Museveni. However I want the world to know that we don’t fear President Museveni. Yes he has the money but it’s ‘evil money’. He ‘ill’ got this money” He said.

On Tuesday 12 September 2017, the team of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) legislators voted to spearhead a private members bill to amend article 102b scraping the presidential age limit set at 75 years.

The motion was moved by Kyaka County MP Jackson Rwakafuzi to scrap the presidential age limit which was backed by all NRM MPs except the kumi Mp Monica Amoding, in a meeting chaired by MP for Bubyangabu county Adolf Kasaija Mwesigye,.

The 1995 constitution bars anyone above 75 years of age from standing for president. This means President Museveni is not ineligible to seek re-election in 2021 unless the constitution is amended.

I don’t think it is totally correct to say that M7 has money. What seems more accurate is that M7 is using the treasury as if it is his personal account. The wonder foe me is that educated people just stand back and watch him take the money. What example do they show the youth of today if they act like uneducated people. Even the illiterate have more common sense than this lot of NRM MPs. Perhaps they need to go back to their villages and listen to the elders proverbs of what happens to the reedy and selfish. The behave like Pavlovian dogs. Their conditioned response is to money and nothing else. I don’t know how they show their faces when they go to international conferences.
