Lubaga North constituency legislator Hon. Moses Kasibante has also thrown his weight behind the team warming up to trash the proposed constitutional amendment.
Speaking to the Insider early this morning, the soft-spoken leader said that he will not accept the constitution to be castrated by self-centered, unpatriotic and corrupt people.
Betty Kamya’s biggest rival added that though government officials are splashing tax payer’s money in the bid of corrupting legislators, it’s high time they got exposed.
Kasibante also called upon his voters to jointly support him in the struggle since the scrapping off of age limit from the constitution does not only affect him as an opposition leader, But It Also affects the entire generation to come.
These statements follow a decision by the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) who on Tuesday 12th September 2017 passed a resolution to amend the constitution and among the clauses to be amended is article 102b that the restricts one not to contest for presidency beyond the age of 75 years.
