Gov’t buys more firefighting equipment’s as threats to burn parliament intensify

Firefighting equipments being mounted in different corridors at parliament

Following the statements issues by the Inspector General of Police Gen. Kayihura made in a meeting with traders at Hotel Sojovalo in Mengo, Kampala recently, a lot of tension has swallowed most Kampala residents.

Kayihura revealed to them that Police have information that some people are planning to burn petrol stations and Parliament on Thursday.

This did not stop at the meeting and police went ahead to issue a directive signed by AIGP Asan Kasingye ordering petrol stations not to sell petrol to people with jerry cans.

As its said that prevention is better than cure, the Parliament of Uganda has immediately responded with the procurement of more firefighting equipment’s.

The equipement including fire extigushers pumps among others were early this morning picked from the stores and placed in different corridors at the August House.
