Teargas rocks Kyambogo University over Anti-Age Limit Demos

Police officers surrounding university premises

Kyambogo University students have also too joined in demonstration against age limit. The university premises had been surrounded by police the entire morning.

When they saw that there was no sign of any demonstrations since the students led were having lectures, they started vacating one by one and the students led by their leaders used this as a chance to destruct those that were attending lectures and engage them into starting the anti-age limit removal demonstration by running around with branches, stoning police officers and there cars, moving around with ‘tojikwatako’ charts.

This has caused police to rush back and surround the University and also control the chaotic students with teargas.

However, this has not stopped most of the students to carry out the demonstrations as they have vacated the campus premises carrying the demonstrations to their halls of residence and to the nearby hostels.
