Looking on is the Guest of Honor Dr. Maggie Kigozi (3rd Right). The bank was also recognized as Best Promoter of Financial Literacy for its 2017 Stanbic National Schools Championships.

Stanbic Bank Uganda had an outstanding night at the 2017 Digital Impact Awards winning two major accolades.

The bank was recognized as the best Mobile banking service provider for its extraordinary mobile banking platform and as the best promoter of financial literacy for the 2017 Stanbic Bank National Schools Championships.

Accepting the awards on behalf of the bank Veronica Sentongo, Stanbic Uganda’s head of digital channels said, “We are extremely proud to receive this award because it confirms that the investments we have made in our digital platforms are working. In the past year alone we have installed additional smart AMT’s which credit cash deposits instantly; launched a revolutionary new merchant payment solution FlexiPay and introduced The Stanbic Bank App which gives customers a single-view platform for all interaction with the services offered by the bank.”

Thanking customers for their support Cathy Adengo, Stanbic Bank’s Corporate Communications said, “We owe this achievement to our esteemed customers who have been very loyal and made us their bank choice.”

“We look forward to serving and working together with you as we embrace the opportunities and overcome challenges by adopting digital technology as a vehicle for bringing more people out of poverty and into the formal financial system.”  She added.

Dr. Maggie Kigozi, who presided over the 2017 Digital Impact Awards as guest of honor, praised Stanbic bank, “For standing the test of time and being with Ugandans in good and bad economic conditions.”

The 4th Digital Impact Awards Africa ran under the theme maximizing the digital dividend and minimize digitization risks.
