Minister Chris Baryomunsi has blasted the opposition legislators against the lifting of the presidential age limit bill.
Speaking while appearing on Capital Gang a radio talk show, Baryomunsi described them as cowards who feared to debate the motion.
He added that parliament is not a boxing ring but an avenue of integrity therefore MPs had no right to fight regardless of the personal differences and opinions.
“I was voted by my people to come and debate in parliament, its not guarantee that all motions tabled have to be favoring me because parliament is for all Ugandans not individuals.” Baryomunsi said.
These statements follow last week’s chaos that happened at parliament where MPs clashed over the controversial motion intended to amend article 102b of the Uganda constitution.
