Kayihura bans Togikwatako Red Ribbons in Namboole

Following the information made by vocal leader of opposition Dr. Kiiza Besigye on red ribbons and defying government orders, the inspector General of Police Gen. Kale Kayihura has responded with with much vigor to have the mission blocked.

News reaching our desk indicates that police has not to allow anyone in Namboole stadium with Anti age limit removal Red Ribbons.

It should be noted that most of the opposition leaders including Gen. mugisha Muntu, Allan Ssewanyana, Kampala City lord mayor Elias Lukwago, Bobi Wine among others had earler on vowed to attend the World Cup qualification match between Uganda cranes and Ghana black stars.

In response to this, the IGP himself decided to attend the match to ensure that security is at the peak and no defiance and anti-age limit slogans are embedded in the must win match.

Former Presidential candidate Kizza Besigye called on people to wear Red Ribbon on funerals, sports events, weddings, church and on Tuesday, some elites dismissed the call.
