The inspector general of police, Maj. Gen. Kale Kayihura has described people busy comparing him with Security Minister Gen. Henry Tumukunde as attention seekers.
Speaking while appearing on NBS today morning, Kayihura confessed that he has no problem with the security minister despite the constant clashes.
Kayihura further admits that he has no reason to interfere with the duty of the minister as he has enough roles to play.
“From my point of view, I don’t have any problem with the minister of security and I stick to my mandate of being IGP.’ He said.
He also notes that he has no intensions of disagreeing with the minister since he holds a lot of respect for him.
Kayihura once gain dusts off accusations that the claimed indifferences between him and Gen. Tumwine are the causes of insecurity in the country.
He believes the security in the country is at its peak and all security organs are working together.
“The country is at peace because all security organs are working together.” Kayihura announced.
Kayihura and the minister of security, Gen. Henry Tumukunde internal and personal conflict has been an open secret for quite a long time since the appointment of Gen. Henry Tumukunde as security minister.
None the less, it should be noted that very many political figures reasoned out that the constant murders that were in Entebbe and Nansana took long to be eliminated because of the indifferences between security offices that are spearheaded by Maj Gen. Kale Kayihura and Gen. Henry Tumukunde.
