Kaliro sugar limited in Bwayuya village in Kaliro district have been overwhelmed by tremor when a sugar cane crushing machine crushed one of the employees.
The deceased has been identified as John Mukamba, 32, a resident of Namusolo village, Bumanya Sub County in Kaliro district. His role in the company was to load and offload the sugarcane before and after the industrial process.
According to Mr. Micheal Kasadha, Busoga North Police Spokesperson, he says that an investigation is still ongoing so that they can acquire proper causes for the ill-fated death.
“The deceased was a private sugarcane loader, we are still carrying out investigations on how he entered the factory and how the entire incident happened.” He said
The body was discovered at 6:00am today by company security persons who immediately informed the police which was then taken for postmortem as investigations are ongoing before handing it over to the relatives.
