Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu yesterday held a marathon bilateral diplomatic meetings one after the other.
Netanyahu met the diplomats and presidents of Gabon, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Rwanda, South Sudan, Botswana and Namibia, and with the Prime Minister of Ethiopia in Kenya’s capital Nairobi.
Among the issues discussed were strengthening ties in business, security among others.
However Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not attend President Uhuru Kenyatta’s inauguration at the Moi International Sports Complex Kasarani.
According to Israeli media, this was caused because of security concerns that had been raised earlier.
The country also indicated that Netanyahu was expected to be in the country for a few hours before jetting back home.
And as its always said that better let than never, Netanyahu later arrived in Kenya and congratulated President Uhuru Kenyatta upon taking his last term in office.
