Bududa lawmaker Hon John Baptist Nambeshe has called upon the Speaker of Parliament to listen to the demands of Ugandans not politicians.
Speaking during today’s second Age limit plenary, Nambeshe said that Ugandans have rejected the age limit report but it’s unfortunate that Parliament is busy considering issues of selected members with individual gains.
“My people of Bududa have said no to the lifting of 102b. They are also said no to the 7 year term. There is no evidence from those below 35 and those above 75 over the discriminatory nature of 102b.” Nambeshe said.
Nambeshe noted parliament is busy making a law in order to promote the personal interest of an individual and not the common good of the country.
“Uganda is not short of manpower. How will 7 years help to build institutions which 35 have failed to do?” Furious Nambeshe said.
