Opposition MPs arrested a head of Age limit voting session

Opposition members of Parliament have been denied access to the August House ahead of the long awaited parliament session.

MPs including Hon. Medard Ssegona and shadow Attorney General Hon Wilfred Nuwagaba who had come to serve a notice to the Speaker and AG over the suspension of six MPs.

The Lawmakers were whisked away in a police van to unknown destination.

According to the communication Director of Parliament Mr. Obore Chris to this website that they are still investigating the cause of the unfortunate incident.

Those suspended include Ntungamo Municipality MP Gerald Karuhanga, Erute South MP Jonathan Odur, Kiira Municipality’s Ibrahim Ssemujju and Allan Sewanyana of Makindye West.

Others include Kawempe South MP Mubarak Munyagwa and Kilak North’s Anthony Akol.

It should be noted that on Tuesday, the Speaker warned that she would suspend errant MPs for seven days meaning that they will not be to participate in the voting of Age limit unless their petition is submitted and respected by the Rt.Hon. Rebecca kadaga.
