City socialite Brian Kirumira also known as Bryan White together with Thomas Okoth, a police officer attached to Crime Intelligence will spend the entire Chrismas Season in prison.
In a ruling made by the Makindye Chief Magistrate’s court, the duo were remanded to Luzira till early January as lawyers compile more information regarding his case.
Brian White was picked up last week for allegedly shooting and injuring Victor Bitwire outside his home in Buziga, a Kampala suburb.
He was slapped with attempted murder charges and locked up at Kabalagala Police Station. Police also conducted a search in his home and recovered an AK47 rifle believed to have been used to shoot Bitwire.
Now, a Special Investigations team under the IGP’s office led by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mark Odong has taken over the investigations.
The case was moved to Naguru where the Special Investigations team sits a day after Kirumira was transferred to Nalufenya detention facility, where he was being held together with one of his body guards before he was transferred to Luzira prison.
