The opposition forum for democratic Change has announced plans to commence activities to resume the famous countrywide defiance campaign demonstrations.
According to the four time presidential candidate Dr. Kiiza Besigye, this is aimed challenge the decision by 317 Members of Parliament to support amendment of Article 102 (b) of the constitution to lift the lower and upper age cap for presidential candidates.
Besigye says necessary arrangements are being made to ensure the violated constitution is restored and their resolutions to have the campaign will start on January 9th.
On a special note, Besigye however also tasks Ugandans to join the struggle because it is a matter that concerns everyone regardless of political affiliation.
He says defending the constitution is every citizen’s duty that cannot be sabotaged by any force.
