It was a moment of drama as Lwemiyaga Lawmaker Hon. Theodore Sekikubo narrowly exchanged fists with UPDF officials.
The saga started in the committee room when Uganda People’s Defense forces officials tempted to shun some questions.
This tempted MP Sekikubo to block defense Ministry officials from leaving Parliamentary committee meeting after they refused to answer to queries on the apparent rift between UPDF and police.
Sekikubo who was joined by Klak Hon. Gilbert Oulanyah said that it was an issue of national importance that could remain untouched as the committee appeared before the parliamentarians.
The growing rift between the two different forces went apart following the recent arrests of police officers and Boda boda 2010 leaders who all answering cases related murder and kidnaping Rwanda Nationals, theft among others. They have all been affiliated to working with top security officers something that has stayed between lines.
