Uganda police force spokesperson Emilian Kayima has called upon the general public to stop hyping embattled Boda boda 2010 patron Abudullah Kitatta.
Speaking while appearing on the Capita Gang on Saturday morning, Kayima said that Ugandans have over praised Kitatta something that has resulted into some people believing that he is above the law.
Kayima added that the Uganda police force works with anyone from the general public willing to coordinate with the institution in the fight against criminality but once one engages in illicit acts, he/ is dealt with.
“Don’t be shocked that we arrested Kitatta, when one is a suspect, we treat you like a suspect. That’s why even ministers can be arrested. If we can arrest senior police officers, then who is Kitatta?” Kayima said.
He however said that the state is doing very to see that justice prevails.
Abudallah Kitatta who doubled as the NRM Party Chairperson of Rudaga Division and 28 other people were arrested on last Saturday over the death of Case Hospital accountant, Francis Ekulagar.
