The fate of former Buyende District Police Commander Muhammad Kirumira remains in balance as the force has started postponing his cout appaearnce.
Kirumira who was supposed to appear before the police disciplinary court in Naguru this morning has been postponed to a later date yet to be communicated.
According the police spokesperson Emilian Kayima said that was due to TareheSita celebrations that are still ongoing in Butaleja district Eastern Uganda.
Kirumira is being charged with six counts; torture, unlawful arrests, corruption, bribery, extortion and excessive use of authority which he allegedly committed when he was in-charge of Nansana Police Station and Old Kampala as division police commander in 2013 and 2014 respectively.
He was forcefully pulled out of his home in Bulenga and later arraigned before the police court and sent to the much dreaded Nalufenya detention center in Jinja District.
