Veteran lawmaker Hon. Salaam Musumba has insulted Uganda Blood Transfusion Services officials.
This was after the officials from the National blood bank turned down the appointment to carry out a blood donation exercise at the opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) offices.
Speaking to the Media shortly after receiving the unfortunate news, Musumba said that this is a barbaric decision for a government organization to become partisan at a critical time when the country is facing a blood crisis.
It should be noted that Uganda needs about 34,000 units of blood but only collects 20,000 units with students among regular donors.
