Opposition’s Dr. Kiiza Besigye has decried the manner in which public institutions have been politicized to suit benefits of individuals at the expense of the people of Uganda.
Speaking while giving a comment on the controversial decision by the Uganda police and Uganda blood Transfusion Services refusing FDC members from donating, Besigye describes the incident as not only a shaming but also unfortunate.
Besigye adds that the Uganda Blood Transfusion Services would not have rejected the blood donation drive at a time when the national blood bank is empty.
It should be noted that on Valentines day (14th February 2018) Uganda’s leading opposition party the Forum for Democratic Change had organized a voluntary blood donation drive that was sabotaged without clear reasons.
