Minister David Bahati has decried the manner in which Uganda Blood Transfusion Services (UBTS) reacted towards the Valentine’s day blood donation campaign.
Speaking during today’s plenary Bahati who was acting as the government chief whip said that the decision is highly regrettable.
He described UBTS as an independent organization that was supposed to act with an independent mind rather than a shaming government.
It should be noted that comment follows the decision by the UBTS to refuse taking blood from the opposition’s Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) officials at the time when the blood bank is empty.
