The government chief whip Hon. Ruth Nankabirwa has vowed to unveil a special war against the leaders opposing the referendum.
Speaking to this website yesterday in Kiboga district during the age limit victory and thanks giving party, Nankabirwa noted that they are set to use the same age limit removal tactic to see that referendum is not opposed.
NRM also launched a campaign to rallying Ugandans to support the extension of the presidential term of office from five to seven years in a referendum to be held.
Speaking on the same occasion, President Yoweri Museveni described the 317 members of parliament that voted in favour of lifting the presidential age limit as the new breed of historicals that worked for the stability of the country.
He said that lifting age limits offered an opportunity to other Ugandans who had been locked out of seeking the highest office.
