Security preoccupied with mission to keep Museveni in power – MP Centenary

Robert Centenary

Kasese Municipality Member of Parliament Hon. Robert Centenary has condemned the Uganda security agencies for causing the insecurity mess in the country.

Speaking while commenting on the unfortunate murder of the Youthful Susan Magara, Centenary noted that there is need of doubling the zeal to fight crimes.

Centenary adds that our security agencies have preoccupied themselves with working hard to protect and keep the regime in power at the peril of our safety as Ugandans.

“If they could exercise the same Zeal and vigilance to secure Ugandans as they do when cracking down opposition Uganda will not be the same again wake up IGP and colleagues.” He said.

These comments come at a time when insecurity and the rate of kidnaps and murders have intensified throughout the country with the latest being the gruesome murder of one Susan Magara.

Susan Magara was kidnapped on February 7 at Kabaka Anjagala road as she was driving to her home in Lungujja, Lubaga Division.

She had been working as a cashier with Bwendero Dairy Farm Hoima at its Kabakanjagala procurement office in Kampala. The farm belongs to her father, John Magara.

Her kidnappers had reportedly demanded for $1m (about Shs 3 billion) ransom money and only about Shs 700 million had been paid by the time the chilling news trickled in that her life had been so cruelly and violently ended by this faceless terror.
